This bowl carries that mark: a band of red cloud shapes runs around the black outer wall, with gold diamonds set within it, and the inside is finished in a deep red. It is the same generations-old technique, in a bowl sized for the meals you eat every day.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eThe workshop\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMarusan Shikki has made Hidehira-nuri in Ichinoseki since 1904 and is now in its fifth generation. It is the only Hidehira-nuri workshop that still carries every stage, from wood-turning through to the decoration, under its own roof.
