Nordic Philosophy and Japanese Tradition
Kamasada
Founded in 1908 in Morioka, Iwate.
The third generation master, Nobuho Miya, fused the spirit of Japanese tradition with the philosophy of "Less is More." The result is a collection of minimal, universal designs that transcend the boundaries of craft.
Kamasada’s ironware brings a timeless, sculptural beauty to modern life.
The Art of "Sōgata": Defying Mass Production
Nambu Ironware
Nambu Ironware has a history of 400 years. While mass-produced casting uses sand molds made by machines, the traditional "Sōgata casting" (Crafted Mold) technique creates molds by hand using a potter's wheel.
This method allows for incredibly sharp lines and thin edges that industrial products cannot mimic.
