A lacquered vessel that brings generous height and quiet space to the table

This large raised confectionery plate is made as an everyday vessel centered around tea time.

It can be used not only as a plate for sweets or fruit, but also as a generous serving dish for foods without much liquid, such as sashimi or appetizers. The larger scale allows food to be presented with a sense of openness, bringing natural breathing space and a calm, grounded presence to the table.

Easy to lift, with a reassuring sense of stability

The raised form is designed to be easy to lift and to feel stable in the hands.

From the rim to the rising profile, gentle curves create a surface that naturally fits the hand when picked up. The soft touch unique to natural wood, combined with a smooth, matte lacquer finish, offers a quiet sense of comfort each time it is used. It is a vessel intended to be used naturally in everyday life.

Please note that this piece is not suitable for soups or foods cooked in very hot oil.

Careful lacquer work required by a large surface

Because of its broad surface area, special attention is required during the lacquering process.

When applying lacquer, the environment is carefully prepared to prevent dust, and during the final coating, the flow of lacquer and the way light appears on the surface are closely observed to avoid a flat or monotonous finish. Each piece is made patiently so that the depth of lacquer and its quiet expression can be felt across the wide surface.

Recommended for

  • Those who want to create a relaxed, spacious atmosphere at tea time or the dining table
  • Those who wish to use confectionery plates or serving vessels in everyday settings
  • Those who want to highlight food or sweets with a vessel that has presence

Not recommended for those who plan to serve very hot or liquid-heavy dishes, use dishwashers or microwaves, or who prioritize maximum durability and ease of handling.
