A lacquered stand that quietly supports the tea moment
This teapot stand is made as a tea accessory for everyday use.
While it is intended as a place to gently rest a teapot, it can also be used without fixed purpose—such as a base for a vase or small objects. It does not assert itself, yet carries a quiet presence.
A small piece of lacquerware that fulfills its role subtly within daily life.
Form and balance, designed to place and support
The softly rounded square shape is designed to hold a teapot steadily.
Its lightweight construction makes it easy to handle and does not interrupt daily movements. At the same time, its thickness makes it less suitable for use as a coaster. In addition, due to the nature of lacquerware, placing very hot items directly on the surface may cause discoloration. This is especially true for tame and black finishes, which are more sensitive to heat. It is recommended to use the stand once the teapot has cooled slightly.
A calm expression created by even lacquer work
Although compact in size, great care is taken during the lacquering process.
The amount of lacquer and the way light falls on the surface are carefully monitored to prevent unevenness. The smooth, matte texture feels gentle to the fingertips, conveying a sense of calm each time it is used.
Subtle variations resulting from handwork are also part of the character of this piece.
